YES! Somebody who knows about Paint Tool SAI as well!
Two questions: How do you know -when you're coloring the skin- where to keep the tones sharp and distinct, or to blur them together?
And also, what tool do you use to do the skin shading.

Thanks. :)

I love this kind of tutorials, even if the one doing them says it's rough or messy it always helps giving new ideas to practise, i enjoy the coloring process the most :3

Thanks Tooa!

it really depends on experience. Just experiment with it. ^^ Usually tho, shadings are sharp when there is a large change in surface angel. *bad at explaining* Imagine a cube and a sphere, the shading on the cube is quite sharp at the edges, where the surface's angel change dramatically (90 degrees), where as for the sphere you almost never see sharp shadings because the surface's angel change gradually. For human faces, strictly speaking, the shading should always be smooth. But in drawings we exaggerate where the surface change dramatically to create a stronger sense of depth. At least, that's the principle behind it. But like I said, you'll have to experiment. Touch your own faces sometimes and note the significant changes, usually separated by bones. :3

For skin shading, (and the rest of the shadings), I actually used a custom brush made by myself when I was playing around with the program. But pen brush will do, and use watercolor brush to soften things up.
